Topographic Survey
Topographic survey is the measured survey of earthworks or other kinds of archaeological site that exist as visible remains on the surface. These can vary from the footings of demolished nineteenth century mill buildings, through the ramparts of Iron Age hillforts, to the slightest undulations of medieval ridge and furrow agriculture. We use state-of-the-art GPS systems or infra-red and laser Total Station equipment to exactly measure and globally locate physical archaeological remains in the field. Topographic survey solutions are tailored to your specific requirements, but can be utilised in any urban or rural environment.
